As a former dancer and current choreographer I can say that Michael S, at Performance Health Sports Care & Recovery is the best chiropractor I have been treated by including those in NYC. He is knowledgable, thinks creatively and is receptive to new ideas. Michael is uniquely flexible about calibrating his treatment to any shifting issues a patient may have. My injuries have improved significantly working with Michael as he thoughtfully varies his approach, after really listening to how I am doing. For example, Michael’s use of ART has made a big difference in my mobility and pain level. In addition, the kind and optimistic tone that Michael creates is truly a part of his healing approach! The office is new and fresh and the welcoming receptionist, Carol, is another warm and uplifting part of this team who will help you with scheduling and insurance issues. After seeing Michael & Carol I leave my appointment in a joyful mood! I have also spoken with Chris who was thoughtful and open about several

I cannot say enough good things about Performance Health. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with kindness and professionalism. I have gotten treatment from both doctors Mike Saccente and Chris Mattina. They truly listen, explain things clearly, and make you feel comfortable every step of the way. Since starting treatment, first for rigors of my construction job and now for a recent car accident I’ve noticed such a positive difference in my back/neck/overall health. I feel genuinely cared for here. I’m so thankful to have found this office and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality chiropractic care.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Chris for about a ywar and a half after I ended up herniating discs in my lower back. I had terrible sciatic nerve pain running down my entire left leg for over two months before I ended up on Chris’s table. Prior to going, I was unable to stand longer than a minute or two because the pain was so excruciating. After seeing Chris and Hayley for a couple months, my sciatic nerve pain subsided.
I continued seeing Chris when I ended up giving myself tendonitis and he was able to help me through that injury and helped me modify my work outs so I could continue hitting the gym and let my injury heal.

I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Mike today I was in a lot of pain I had tingling in both arms and my wrists ached so bad I haven’t been able to sleep well.My back was tight I was very uncomfortable . Dr. Mike worked on me adjusting my back and working on both of my arms I walked out of that office smiling my whole body feels so much better.Thankyou for helping me and making me feel so much better . Dr Chris is amazing!! My sciatic pain is gone due to his magic hands & he is teaching me exercises that will strengthen the muscles that support my 75-year-old lower back.
