Young soccer players should perform 20-30 minutes of strength training 2-3 times per week on non-match days. This prevents injury and improves performance.

Flexibility: Critical for Soccer

Soccer demands significant flexibility, particularly in hips, hamstrings, and hip flexors. Tight muscles lose protective ability and get injured. Daily stretching after practice prevents this tightness.

Young athletes should spend 15 minutes stretching after each practice or game, focusing on hips, hamstrings, hip flexors, calves, and quadriceps. Hold each stretch 30 seconds without bouncing.
